We are Tina & Nils from Cologne. MAZUNT was born because we ourselves were constantly torn between our mobile phones and disposable cameras when traveling – and eventually we just built a better option.
You've taken great photos, the evening was awesome – and now you want to transfer your photos to your phone or laptop. No stress. We'll show you step by step how it works – for iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows.
Before you start – the most important things at a glance
•The MAZUNT comes with a USB-C cable. All devices with a USB-C port can be connected directly – no extra accessories needed.
•iPhone 14 or older (Lightning port)? You'll also need an OTG Lightning adapter. You can get one directly from us or via Amazon.
•Important for the adapter: It must be OTG-capable – meaning it supports data transfer, not just charging. A normal Lightning charging cable is not enough.
⚠️ Not every Lightning adapter works. Make sure to look for "OTG" in the product description – otherwise the camera will not be recognized.
Step 1 – Connect Camera
1. Turn on your MAZUNT.
2. Plug the included USB-C cable into the camera.
3. Plug the other end into your phone (for Lightning iPhones: first connect the OTG adapter, then the cable).
4. The USB symbol will appear on the camera's small display – the connection is established.
💡 Don't see a USB symbol?
Check if the cable is plugged in correctly and the camera is turned on.
Step 2 – Open Files App
1. Go to the pre-installed Files app on your phone.
2. Tap the "Browse" tab at the bottom.
3. A new folder will appear under "Locations" – it's called "MAZUNT".
Step 3 – Find Photos
1. Tap on the folder.
2. All your photos are located here.
Step 4 – Save or Share Photos
1. Select the photos you want to keep.
2. Move them to your photo storage or share them directly via Instagram, WhatsApp, or wherever you want.
3. If you want to free up space: deleting photos here will clear the SD card.
Step 2 – Find Camera on Laptop
Mac: An external storage device named “MAZUNT” will appear on the desktop or in the Finder sidebar.
Windows: Open File Explorer. A new device will appear under “This PC” or “Removable Disk.”
Step 3 – Find Photos
1. Open the folder.
2. All photos are in this folder.
Step 4 – Save Photos
1. Copy the images to the desired folder on your laptop.
2. Delete them directly from the camera if needed to free up storage space.
No cable at hand? No problem. You can also remove the SD card directly from the camera and transfer it to your device using a micro SD card reader.
1. Open the flap on the bottom of the camera and gently press the SD card – it will pop out.
2. Insert the SD card into a micro SD card reader and connect it to your device.
3. Open the folder and copy, share or delete photos as usual.
iPhone 14, 13, 12 or older?
Then you have a Lightning port – and need an additional adapter. The most important thing: The adapter must be OTG-compatible. OTG stands for "On-The-Go" and means that the adapter supports data transfer – not just charging. A normal Lightning charging cable or a simple adapter without OTG will not recognize the camera.
• MAZUNT Lightning OTG Adapter: available directly from us
• Alternatively on Amazon: look for "OTG" in the product description
⚠️ Do not buy a cheap Lightning adapter without OTG function – it will not work for data transfer.
Camera not detected – what to do?
Check whether the USB symbol is displayed on the camera screen. If not: switch the camera off and on again, re-plug the cable. For Lightning iPhones, ensure that the adapter is OTG-capable.
Can I use a different USB-C cable?
Yes – but make sure it is a data cable and not just a charging cable. Some inexpensive USB-C cables do not support data transfer. The included MAZUNT cable always works.
Can I share the photos directly to Instagram?
Yes. First, save the photos to your photo library and then share them directly via Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, or wherever you like.
How many photos fit on the SD card?
The included 8 GB micro SD card can hold approx. 4,000 photos. You can empty it via the Files app once you have saved the pictures.
